DOCTORS - especially Paediatrics and Medicine - WANTED! LAMB Hospital, Parbatipur, Bangladesh
Started as a community health and development project, LAMB Rural Health and Development Project expanded to include a 150-bed hospital, and now also has training and research departments. A holistic health approach seeks spiritual, physical, social and emotional transformation. The hospital has 150 beds and has a focus on mother and child care.
In the past years several of our expatriate doctors have left due to various reasons. At the moment there is no Internal Medicine expatriate doctor, one expatriate Paediatrician, one Gynaecologist and one General Surgeon. Due to lack of Internal Medicine cover we have had to reduce our Medicine services drastically.
There is a particular current urgent need for Paediatrics and General Medicine cover. We would also very much welcome a General Physician/Family Practice doctor with an interest in Medicine and/or Paediatrics.
The work is a mix of clinical service provision, research and training.
We are eager to discuss options with any doctor who is interested to come from short term (from 1 month in Paediatrics, from 3 months in Medicine) to long term.
